AITF Newsletter - October 2024

The October issue of the AITF Newsletter opens with an announcement of the 2025 Class of AITF Anchor Fellows. Congratulations! The Anchor Fellows program is an initiative that exposes participants to unique training designed to help prepare them to guide anchor institutions in their local communities in line with AITF’s core values.

The AITF Member Spotlight in this Newsletter issue features Near West Side Partners, a multi-sectoral anchor partnership operating in the Near West Side area of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Near West Side Partners implements a number of programs and local collaborations to promote equitable economic development across the seven neighborhoods that comprise the Near West Side. The AITF Member Spotlight is a new section of the Newsletter for uplifting the ongoing work by members of the AITF network.

The Newsletter also connects readers to pertinent news and resources from the field. AITF’s fall thematic event titled Local Solutions in Divided Times will be held on Thursday, November 7 in New York City, NY and with virtual access. The event will bring together leaders, experts, and practitioners to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing anchor institutions during challenging times.
